Our cork track underlay is designed to make life just that little bit easier when creating your layouts. Manufactured here in the UK from 3mm thickness of cork sheet, with each piece of underlay made to match Hornby's 'R' set track OO gauge track sections. The shoulders of each piece of cork underlay are cut square to enable an even fall-off of ballast.

When planning your layout simply mark out with a marker pen the track section in question and then with a tacky glue coat the underside of the respective underlay piece and then glue in place.

Cork has the benefit of not degrading over time, whereas foam underlay can eventually disentegrate, also cork underlay acts as an insulation between track and baseboard and can give - when locomotives and rolling stock ride over the track sections, a more realistic running sound.
